can't remove rotor

I removed the t30 holding the rotor in place. I have been hitting it with a mallet, it won't budge. did I miss a second means of attachment? or am I just hitting like a *****? my car is on stands right now so any other ideas would be appreciated.

Make sure you are rotating the rotor while hammering.

a deadblow hammer helps, also spray some PB blaster around the center of the hub as that is usually where it binds. Sometimes it is rust that bonds the rotor to the hub

When replacing rotors I usually paint a thin layer of some anti seize on the inside of the rotor that contacts the hub so that there is no any bonding in the future especially in the salt rich roads in Ontario which only accelerates galvanic corrosion.

I believe that there is an extra screw hole in the rotor this allows you to insert a bolt and it is dead ended against the hub, start tightening that and the rotor will pop off the hub

my new rotors have that hole. the ones that were on there did not. the second one was a little bit easier. I have gone through a can and a half of liquid wrench and I haven't even started the back yet. I have the front completely taken apart and I got two coats of paint on the calipers. gonna do two more coats and pick up where I left off tomorrow morning. I can't wait to get this done. no more shimmy from shot rotors, finally painting my calipers, and getting my summer wheels back on. this is going to be a great weekend.

So far I've only changed the front rotors on my '05 C230. First I assume you took off your brake calipers. After the screw, there is nothing else holding it on other than friction. I had to bang the hell out of it while turning it for it to come off. It really makes that stupid little screw superfluous. Get a bigger hammer. A dead blow hammer. Hit it lots of times really hard. It will come off... eventually. Just keep saying to yourself that you didn't want that rotor anymore anyway!

bolt trick works every time for every car I've had (german and Japanese) Make sure the bolt is metric and at least grade 5 (class 8.8) or higher, grade 8 is best (class 10.9)

Do you live near the ocean in Jersey? Just curious - I assume there's a bunch of rust you're dealing with?

Neither my old or new rotors have the bolt hole, but I've seen them and used them on many other cars. I've actually had the threads strip on that hole with rotors that were stuck on there really good - like it sounds with the OP.

I'm about 30 miles from the shoreline. but I work at a major bridge between jersey and pa. they throw more salt down in the winter than the entire state of nj. all winter long our parking lot is white. all four rotors are off now, waiting on caliper paint to dry so I can put the last wheel back together.
