What is the point of getting an exhaust system only to restrict it more to quiet down? Doesn't make sense to me. If you don't want to sacrifice performance go get some side branch resonator. I have them on my z. Dead stock quiet on hwy but still loud when I want it be. Do a google search. Basically you add piping off your current exhaust pipe long enough that sound waves will bounce back and cancel out the drone. Honda S2000 has comes with this from factory. There are several high end bimmer exhaust system that come with this. Or you can custom build one like myself for $130. It may take couple of tries with lengths to get it right.

Looks silly but you can't see them unless you go under.

BTW I have 3'' dp and 3"->2.5"tp and still dead quiet at cruising speeds

interesting... thanks for the feedback. I had no idea that was an option. It seems like it would be more sensitive to trial/error than just throwing a glassback/resonator.

btw... sick Z!

I completely agree with you... but deleting my 2ndary cat wasn't planned for (the replacement would have been just over $1k for OEM), I'm only doing aftermarket glassback/resonator to balance out the residual rasp/drone, and was wondering what my options were.

As of now, I have everything and am waiting to make an appointment with my shop. Unfortunately, because of other priorities... its taking a while to get this done
