C230 kompressor - check engine light issue
Hello all,
I am new to Benzworld and this is my first post.
I have a 2004 C230 Kompressor with a Kleeman header/down pipe and sport catalytic converter along with the boost kit. I happened to purchase the vehicle with the upgrades already installed. I knew the check engine light was on when I purchased it. I live in Cali so of course I had to get it smogged. I ran the codes and it came up with a PO420 - CAT Efficiency Below Threshold. So I erased the codes and was able to smog it. The light came on not too long after I erased the code. Im assuming the sport cat is not sufficient for the vehicle as far as CAT Efficiency goes. Is there anything I can do as far as having another aftermarket converter installed that will satisfy the ECU and not turn on my check engine light?
