new owner of c240
i just bought a black on black c240! when i went to the dealership i was set on magma red/black stick c240 with xenons. that car lasted in my head for 10 mins when the salesperson said theres no such car in all of west america. after 3 hours i got a black/black automatic c240. i thought to myself benz is a luxury car so if i buy stick i cant really cruise in it, even though i love stick. and i had to have the xenons because without those clear headlights, the c-class is a disgusting car. i have a question, could i have bought a c-class without the c4 package and buy aftermarket headlights/xenons and add them?

Just curious, why'd you get the 240 instead of something like the 230 or 320?

Why did they say it did not exist? My dealer was getting one in September.
I found a black on black 6 spd C240. It was hard to find and all the dealers told me it was impossible to get but i found it eventually

i got the 240 cuz the 320 was too expensive for me, and the 230 is a 4 banger, faster, but i rather drive a 6 cylinder benz, speed is no interest for me because two of my close friends passed away in a racing accident.
the c4 package im not to crazed on. what i had to have on the car were the clear headlights. at the dealership they had two c-classes next to eachother one with and one without c4 package. WOW whata difference, they look like total seperate cars from the front. i believe the clear lights make the car look 1 million times nicer. so i take back what i said about the car being disgusting without the lights, but im adding on that with the clears, the other lights dont stand a chance

Makes sense, C32god. We got the 230 because it was cheaper than the 320, and the aluminum trim looked nice to us.
I actually wish the 230 had more power, but I'm admittedly paranoid from having far too many near-accidents from trying to merge with highway traffic in underpowered vehicles.
Headlights don't matter at all to me, provided I can see the road at night.

the projectors are nice headlights i would get them myself, but as far as it being disgusting without...i dont know about that one

OK. Here's my worthless opinion - the see thru lenses make it look like an Altima - may as well get one and save some cash. The C Headlamps are radical enuff in shape - all the see thru stuff and projectors are unnecesaary but I understand some people like this stuff...
