Car as Art
u should make one for the rear view of your car too! and then print that at the back of your t-shirt. it will look cool
isnt that just a picture of your car being filtered through one of adobes filters with a black outline?

tell me what you guys think
the original picture is at 1600 x 1200 i reduced it for the forum post.... i can make it any resolution without distorting the picture because its hand drawn lines and colored individually.... normally it takes around 5 hours or so for a car...
*I work in IT so we have access to various software (photoshop, jasc paintshop, illustrator, etc) I'm gonna go online and research on cell-shading plug'ins. I think original pic is very important as u want it as clean and least background noise as possible. Get pic with good lighting too. Will let you guys know how it work out. May still need some manual (i mean digital) airpbrushing and touch-up of course.

Also, it should be '03 not 03' ... you're abbreviating the "20" in "2003".
Looks really nice. Did you draw that using a tablet, or did you simply run a filter on your image to find the edges?

i did not use a filter to find the edges.... just looked really carfully and drew that way...Tberry: yea im timing myself on this next one im doing right now to get the exact time... i did the first on over a period of 2-3 days when i had free time from studying... took up around 5 hours since it was my first shot at trying this.. and yes i do agree that $35 is alot i was thinking around $20- 25 maybe with a CD with a High Res on it to give also...so you can print out and do what you wish....
Nola: thanks for the link
Cell shading is the hottest thing these days. Mostly appearing in games that render 3D on the fly. Robotech for PS2 and the quake 3 for PC are good examples.
It would be best to do all of the work in a vector based format like Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia Freehand. Then the image won't be tied to a specific resolution. So if I want it scaled to fit on the side of a skyscraper I can without any loss in quality.
