I'm running the bilstein sport shocks on my 05 c230k. It's definitely a stiffer ride compared to oem mercedes struts/shocks. I replaced the oem struts/shocks when I purchased the vehicle because the previous owner had a set of eibach springs which had 1 coil cut from the front and rear springs. The ride was bouncy.
I wish he would've went a different route and not have done that, but I'll probably end up putting a new set of springs later on. The car starts, runs, and gets me from point A to B and the ride got better once I installed the bilstein sports.

You guys are a second class obviously ![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Just remember most sedan owners wanted a coupe but the wife said no so they are just jealous![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
In my case I could not find a white c320 coupe with the options I wanted.

I owned an acura rsx for a couple years before I got my c230. Always been into hondas though even before the rsx. I just like the look of the 90's hondas, nice and simple haha not really into luxury. not sure how I ended up with the c230 coupe but its a nice car, like the hydraulic shifter better than the cable shifter.

I've got a 90 CRX Si, and it does look like the ccoupe's smaller, toner little brother. I'd still take the CRX for pure driving fun, but it is nice to get into the ccoupe sometimes, and have a more comfy commute.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Look who's off topic now you post *****! Ha! Gotcha Smurf boy!
Since we're already off topic, the early CRX with the window in the back was
designed by Bertone. Look at some other early Bertone designs, you'll see that window.
And looking at the coupe, it has such subtle lines, especially around the door and front quarter panel,
when it's freshly waxed. I can't help but wonder if the italians
had a hand in it. Wish there was book showing the history of the design.

Look at the rear window/hatch of the coupe, and then look at a CRX. Eerily similar!

i would take the crx too but yea once you get used to the c230 it will never be as comfortable.
BTW anyone know where to get shift boots for mercedes? I ordered 06 c230 sedan console trim to update the look of my 02 c230 coupe but I also need to get a new shift boot.. anyone know where to get it? other than paying 350 at the dealer

They must have - my car breaks down all the time. ![Wootrock](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wootrock.gif)
You can try a junkyard or salvage place, like Potomac German Auto. But any one will do, if you're willing to MacGuyver something. Mine is an alcantara boot designed for a Civic that I ordered off Lightning Auto Sport.

I was thinking of doing the same and just using a shift boot from my rsx but I wasnt sure how it would look without the bottom trim locking it in place

Sure, here's one.

You can see the Sparco knob, the LAS boot, and at the bottom there, a Simoni gated shift surround, that's attached to the designo trim piece (color is Mystic Blue, for those of you keeping track at home).
And in case you're curious, here's a horrible, shaky pic of both cars next to each other in the parking garage where I keep the one I'm not currently driving:

Yes, there are three set screws for the knob. I rolled some masking tape around the shifter shaft, so that they can have something to imbed themselves into.
I got the surround from a place in the UK, "Need for Speed". Doesn't look like they carry Simoni anymore.
Did find this:
http://www.motorspeed.com/Aluminium-...75/product/561
version a would be closest to mine; not sure if it would work or not, or even if that's a republe website. But if you search online long enough, you should find something.
Bunch of former Honda owners here. They just are afraid to admit that they still like them.

Without the surround how does it look? Do you see spaces through the shift boot?
What do you suggest on buying the 2006 c230 console trim for where the shift boot connects? I could get it for $60 new OEM. It has a nice finish plus the shifter opening is wider rather than the narrow one from the 2002 coupe. Not 100% sure if they're compatible but they look to have the exact same dimensions
