Question Changed my thermostat now have a question about the coolant

Ok so I changed my thermostat with a friend a few weeks ago because I was getting a CEL and I can't exactly remember what the code was but when I originally looked it up it was the code that said engine was running to warm. Forum member suggested that the thermostat needed to be changed (i have 61,000 miles on my car). Did the whole 9 yards.. Flushed coolant, changed thermostat, refilled coolant. However when I drove the car the next day it was leaking.. I realized then that the gasket that goes on the thermostat housing got pinched in-between the engine and the housing. I bought a new gasket and went to change it today. I did it, but I lost a little bit of coolant in the process. Maybe 1/4 to 1/2 a liter. My car still have the CEL on (granted I haven't driven more than 5 miles with it since I originally replaced the t-stat) and I'm wondering whether I should flush the system again or if I can drive it the way it is?

Oh I also cracked the air intake hose down one of the folds.... Can I just tape it with electrical tape? :/ I know that sounds bad, but I have no idea how to remove the intake from the box...

There's diy on intake removal in the aftermarket thread. Also refill your coolant with mb recommended coolant not any random brand. Go to harbor freight and buy a cheap obd2 scanner thatll clear codes, they have good ones for under 50.
