HID Fogs - Using custom bulb questions
Please point me in the correct direction if this has already been covered.
My main goal is to upgrade the fog lights in my C55. However I don't want to use a random kit. I would like the ability to use a bulb from PIAA instead.
So I'm mainly looking for an quality product when it comes to the ballast and the wiring harness. With the ability to replace the bulb provided and use another aftermarket brand bulb. Does anyone have an recommendations or know if this is even possible?
The bulbs I'm trying to use are from the PIAA Super Cobalt line. Ideally a D2R or D4R bulb. However a D2S or D4S will work as well, but is not ideal since I'm not using a projector housing for the fog lights.

So I guess the only question I have then is if the bulb goes out for your fogs. Will a standard D2S or D2R bulb fit? Or will you have to purchase a replacement bulb from hidny?
Thanks again for the info. HID conversion kits aren't a mystery to me.. but there are so many out there. Its nice to get feedback on a proven manufacturer.
