Question 2003 C230K Interior

I have serveral questions that I hope people can help me with:
1) Does the steering wheel from a 2003 C230K Sedan have two-tone leather?
2) Can anyone provide me with a website that I can find AMG swaybars?
3) Will installing a sway bar void the warranty?
4) Does anyone know if it is possible to put a on/off switch for the supercharger in a 2003 C230K? Just wondering...
Thanks!!!

1) The stock steering wheel is single tone leather. You can either choose a wood and leather wheel when ordering the car or the dealer can install one. There are probably aftermarket alternatives with two tone leather.

2) The AMG swaybars can be ordered from the dealer, search the forum for the most recent part numbers (the numbers I have are no longer current as AMG part numbers tend to change frequently).

3) No, if using the AMG bars, which are 100% OEM Mercedes replacement parts.

4) No, the supercharger is always "on" (the vanes are turning); however, it isn't always supplying boost. There is a computer controlled bypass valve that activates to bleed off boost when the engine is not under load. At this time the supercharger internals are still turing, but since the pressure is being equalized there is no load and it's more less free spinning (albeit with some parasitic losses). This is done pretty much for fuel economy reasons. Pre-2000 M111 motors actually used a magnetic clutch similar to the one in the air-conditioner to mechanically disengage the supercharger when it wasn't under load. After supercharger supplier Eaton upgraded the bearings Mercedes went with the current system.

Cheers, BT

1) no
2) I haven't seen a web site but any dealer can sell them to you - try hoehn motors in carlsbad, ca for a good price
3) jury's out - but most it can void is anything impacted by the sways. Generally speaking, MB will not void warranty if using other MB parts AND installed by MB Dealers.
4) no
