I took it to the dealer to have the engine light turned off under a recall campaign. They quoted me $6855.68 to fix everything on my car that they thought should be fixed. The ck eng light could be fixed for $3500, my cost. I said only fix what is covered for N/C. They did the "pigtails" and sent me home with ck eng light still on and told me that, if I did not have them fix it, my car would fail one day due to the oil contamination. They did not want to fix what they were obligated to fix as they would not make any money on the deal. My sad MB story is complete. I'm sorry it ended badly as I did like that little car; only drove it on blue bird days, took very good care of it. It was cherry. But I feel MB treated me like dirt and I just can't be associated with a company that will not stand behind their product and treat their customers fairly and with dignity and respect. They could not give me an MB now.
