Oil in wires. 2001 c200 kompressor. Please help.
I've spent the last few weeks just looking at all different similar posts and I'm just in awe and admiration of all the people posting their knowledge along with pictures to make it easier for the lay people like me to actually try sorting their own issues out.
Basically I have an X reg 2001 model of the c200 kompressor and because there was problems when I drove it like loosing power and shuddering when idle, I took it to a mechanic who told me there was oil leaking into the wires and the camshaft sensor, knock shaft sensor and that I would have to pay to replace all of that proberbly costing around £2k
hence why i've been searching endlessly on mbworld.org to find out if it would really cost that much or is there a cheaper alternative. so far I've read loads of posts saying that its possible to do the job yourself and a few posts with step by step instructions which are extremely amazing but unfortunately they are not the same model as mine. At this point I will say I am a girl who knows the basics but nothing about intricate details of things underneath the hood but after reading the other forums i have learnt a little bit about whats going on. I was hoping if it is possible to diy the whole thing to save a few bob. So my question is, is it possible someone like myself can do it and if so can anyone help me with a step by step guide for 2001 c200k model please?

Perhaps purchase a service DVD.
But the learning curve to get to the point where you could
do all this yourself is pretty steep if you have no prior experience with such things.
If it is, then search this forum for resources on the M111. Don't search just the W203 forum as the M111 is shared with other models.
