Comand 2.0 Question
Comand 2.0 Question
So I bought a comand 2.0 for my 04 c240. Its pre facelift. The problem I am running into is I cannot get the screen to display anything. I have bought all the necessary plugs and connectors. I was looking at this website http://phdwebsite.powerpulse.cc/COMA...oval%20WIS.pdf about the A and B plugs to make sure they were wired correctly and I noticed some differences from mine and the one showed in diagram. In the A connector it says I should have something in pin 6 for illumination and I do not. Might that be my issue and If so how do I wire it.
when I plug it all in i hear static through the speakers but cannot turn volume up or down nor can I change the channel.
If anyone can give me some advice or help that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check the pin-outs you have in the WIS against what I wrote up in mine, I had a couple of good diagrams at the time. I just don't remember off hand. Here is a link to the post on my Coupe thread.

I also have a write-up from someone else doing the install as well on the same post, that will give some information, we both went through the connections pretty well, if I remember correctly.
In my install, I had a very difficult time getting one pin in the connector to seat when it was plugged in to the Comand unit. It would back out slightly and cause problems. Once I got it to seat well, everything was fine.
