I don't worry about the engine.. I worry about the transmission of all things. And when mine goes out.. I'm dropping in a tremec 6spd. Costs a little bit more but will put a huge smile on my face if I do it.
PS its possible another on this forum has already done it to a clk500 and I've got the recipe from him.
AND Mercedes is dropping the 6.2 liter engine in favor of a twin turbo version of the 5.4. If the engine wasn't bullet proof they wouldn't come back to using it again.
