No and no.

The only real intake options other than a custom tube semi-CAI is drop-ins. No real gains, though (and stay away from Green drop-ins - horrible quality).

Everyone here was, no matter how they try to sound like they were born with this knowledge.

You'll learn quickly that your options tend to be very limited in the aftermarket, unfortunately.

What Tommy said is right, no show gains with them really. I build mine myself from auto zone and ebay parts. I knew it was pointless when i was doing it but it all cost me the same amount as getting the air filter replaced plus it was fun to do it and it looks cool.

our cars have the best designed air intake system ever....draws straight cold air from the front and puts it into the intake without any bends/restriction/air chambers where the air might accumulate and get heated up......no aftermarket system can better what mercedes already put in.......

Well, I wouldn't go that far. A smooth tube with mandrel bends and an opening of the same size in the front of the car (or larger) that would be as short and direct as possible would be an improvement, especially with an appropriate cone filter, but I doubt it would yield enough hp to make the exercise worth the effort and resulting mess in the front of the car.
