Question Timing Case?

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone in this forum knows what a Timing Case is? The dealer told me this part needs to be replace in my coupe, so I will not get the same vibration in the morning. But he was not very clear in explaining what a timing case is. So, I am hoping if someone here can educate me a little. Thank you

Anita

If you look at the engine from the front it's the flat silver-coloured bit behind the belts and extending upwards towards the top. Inside it is the drive for the two camshafts that run down the length of the engine under the top; the camshafts work the valves.

If you have an engine vibration, I'm guessing it is more likely to be due to a part inside the timing case than than to the case itself.
