Throttle Cut

Hi All,

I have a challenge with my car - Mercedes Benz C320, 2001 model. The initial challenge was a hesitant acceleration anytime I apply the brakes or do a momentary stop at the traffic lights. Sometimes, it also sputters and then turns the engine off. Once I start the engine, everthing goes back to normal. My mechanic diagnosed a faulty MAF (Air Flow Meter), hence we changed it. However, after fixing the new MAF, whilst the initial challenge was fixed, a new challenge came up. Now it arbitrarily cuts off the throttle, even whilst the engine is still running. Once this happens, I have to stop the engine and re-start the car before normalcy is restored. Please help. What could be the issue.

Are you getting a check engine light at all? You should scan it for codes and see if any are pending. Maybe throttle position sensor?

Check engine light comes up once in a while, however, it does not return any code. I have also had to change the entire throttle at some point, but the problem has not abated.
