HELP!!!!! Car jerking back and forth
Hi everyone
I have a 2001 C240 6 speed sport package, and I just got the car from the shop for BAS and ESP service. I was driving home on the freeway going around 70-80 mph, when the car suddenly jolted/jerked. It acted like it was out of gas. It would slow down significantly, and then speed back up; back and forth for several times. It also does it when I start accelerating. It'll lose power then suddenly jerk forward.
Anyone have a clue of what this might be or anybody else ever experience this?
I called my service rep. at the dealer and he says it may be a sensor thing with my air fuel ratio, not sensing enough fuel or air. I think since my ESP BAS light came on, they did something to the computer causing it to do this. I’m really down right now cause I can’t have it looked at until next week, so if anyone knows anything, please help me!
Thanks,
Andy

That's what is so bad about having an inept person work on your car. When they "fix" one thing, they usually have to disconnect other things to get to it, and they often don't connect them back properly. You probably just have a loose connector somewhere.

My car did the same thing, except the problem was something totally different. However, they agreed to pay to fix half of it, even though my C Class was out of warranty period, yet had low mileage. Good Luck!
