Carsoft Or Multiplexer 7.4 on 2005+
Hey all, first post for me here so be gentle.
I just picked up an Alpha Bid Mulitplexer. After MANY MANY hours of "figuring" out how to get things installed and how to get it connected to my OBD II via USB cord, I'm having issues with "modules not being loaded" or "data not being received" on my 2005 C230 Kompressor Coupe with the software. I specifically need it to read the airbag codes and the air conditioner system.
I really, really don't want to go to a dealership. I can fix it if I just know where to start. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!!

Carsoft 7.4 works correctly only with real COM port hardware. Any USB to COM converters don't work. Some USB converters such as FTDI try to work, but do it very bad. I can read and erase general airbag and air conditioner errors on my 2003 C180 Kompressor Coupe. I have mini PC on Intel Atom mini ITX board with real COM port especially for Carsoft 7.4 in my garage. But Carsoft declares only MB until 2004 year support.

With USB/COM converters my Carsoft says "module not found" after "communication under construction" for several really present modules. But with real COM port Carsoft founds all my car's modules. I think you can try to work with real COM from PC or old laptop.
