Question for our wagon owners...

Well i finally got the wagon running 100% properly. Damn egr tube -_-

Anyways, heres my question, you know how we have the factory bose woofer in the side panel in the trunk? Im a big bass geek so i want to get creative and boost up my bass. I dont think i can boost up the factory woofer so Like has any of you guys taken out the bose and put in a system of your own in there? I dont want to add a box to my trunk because i need my trunk space.

Any ideas/ suggestion is greatly appreciated

Welcome fellow wagoneer!

I don't think you can wire up anything new to the HU. I believe it operates via the fiber optics and nothing I've found is compatible. Obviously, if you want to change everything, then you can do whatever your wallet can bear. If you do find something that works with the Bose, then please post it up here. I've spoken to Crutchfield and they don't have anything that will work.

If The door speakers are power and ground instead of fiber optic then i can hoop up my rca's to the door speakers and i have my rca to the amp there. And honestly this project will only cost around $200. heres my vision, im not upgrading the stock box because its made just for that bose. If i put more power i think it'll crack. So im thinking about a 8 or 10" kicker made in my own fiber glass box. and a 400 watt kicker amp that i had before that it just bass and it hits hard! The box will be ported so ill make a hole in that panel for deeper base. and ill have the amp mounted next to the box. I'll try making a photoshop so we can completely understand eachother.
