Problem with C55. Battery/Alternator Visit Workshop.
My friends C55 turned on a red display with the message "Battery/Alternator Visit Workshop". His car eventually ran out of energy from the battery and turned off. I told him to check out the alternator and he sent it to a mechanic and the alternator was bad and it was replaced with a reman and they installed a new battery as well. As soon as they turned it on it still had the error message. After a few tries the error message went away and the car was working fine....for one day. Then it had the message again and the voltage was low ( 11's ) with the car on, then it went away...again. It's been on and off.
What could be doing this? Is there a battery control module in this car? If so, where?

might have a grounding issue somewhere. make sure all the connections to the battery and alternator are clean and secure. even a slightly loose cable or exposed wire can cause headaches and gremlins.

I checked, couldn't find any. It also started since the alternator went bad.
It's brand new.
All this started one day when the alternator went bad. After that it's been on and off.
