Jay, now we are going to rag on you... and if your panties are droppin, don't advertise dude...

You cut your springs right? And to be cool big fat heavy wheels are required? So what you are saying is it doesn't matter how it rides, so long as it looks good???

Cool

Well, I'm not 100% sure they're actually plates, but I'm pretty sure they're not bolts for these prices...

Anwyays, here's one site: http://www.k-mac.com.au/makes/merc.htm

Another site is www.renntechmercedes.com, in the catalog they list a front-rear set for like $1k...

There was a lot of discussion regarding both of those products previously. I don't have a parts list but I think the Kmac front is a bolt, and the rear is fancier but so hard to install, renntech gave up rebranding it and selling it as it's own... not sure of the details. That's what I remember....

LOL, don't stress, shocks will blow whether you cut the spring or not. It'll just happen sooner, that's all.

BTW, how much are the #1 spring pads? And are you pretty sure MB provides their own camber bolt? I'm seriously considering getting both, and I want a good idea of how hard it'll hit my pocketbook before I rush down to the dealer and start emptying cash...

i have always been a sucker for 4 doors.. don't ask me why. The back end of the C32 steals the show but the front end of the CLK speaks for itself.. it's absolutely stunning and plus the Brabus body kit is amazing, changes the whole car around. As far as performance wise, the CLK55 would have to be my choice. It's more well rounded and all balanced car. With the H&R cup kits on the C32, i don't think they help the performance of the car at all.. they are really soft.

There are more pics of my car out there... it ain't meant to be pretty

I guess I'll announce here until I get them, take pics and post.... Kleemann Ring type pulley, and lightwieght flywheel/ high perf. clutch assembly has shipped. <- very excited....

Hoosier Grand Am Spec R compound rubber has shipped.

Still deciding on wheels. Either the Team Dynamics ProRace or the ATS DTM 2000, flat black...

You've never seen someone put a strut housing through the hood by running around on struts that were too long, not a little too long, but like yours, way too long? I have... it's funny.

The white car looks ok, the gray one looks like ****. Sorry, somebody had to say it. The wheels are to small for that kind of drop. There is hardly any gap from the top of the tire to the fender, which is good, but he has about 4-5 inches on each side of the tire to the fender. That looks ugly. The white one looks ok. Cutting the springs is the wrong way to go. I don't see how you can say it rides just as good as before. There is no way. I knew a guy that cut his springs on a Grand Prix GTP, and you could push on the hood and the car would jump like it was on a trampoline. It basically comes out and says your cheap. And yes, all that bouncing and weight on that spring will definitly do its toll on your shocks. You need some 19's to fill in the gap in the fender, and lower it properly. You are treating your new benz like a civic. You are going to start wearing out parts, that you are not even thinking about, and now that the springs are cut, anything that messes up due to this voids your warranty.
