HELP W/ C230 FRONT *PIX*
So, I hit the front of my Mercedes C230 on a curb while leaving my parking spot. I was going pretty slow but I heard a scrapping sound as soon I hit the curb. I got out to see the damage and in the dark it just looked like there were some scratches on the front bumper. So I start driving and every time I hit a bump I hear a scrapping sound as if something is hitting the floor. I stopped on the side and i can see something partially hanging down under my car (see pix). Also some sort of liquid is leaking near the front driver-side wheel. I'm guessing the liquid was the washer fluid it was pretty clear and thin? Does anyone know what the part hanging off is (possibly a skid plate?) and if i'm wrong about the liquid? I've attached pictures of the part hanging below the car:

The thing that is leaking probably is just washer fluid and the plastic thats creeping down is just a plastic liner. You can most likely get it all fixed for under $50 and less then an hour of time if you DIY.
good luck

Plastic liner probably just popped out. That part part usually connects to the side plastic liner where the washer fluid is. You can jack the car up and probably posh it back in or remove a few bolts and reinstall it. The washer reservoir is right in front of the driver wheel. Just remove the wheel well plastic and you'll see the washer motor, just push down to make sure its snug in the reservoir and there should a hose connected to it as well, make sure it didn't get loose.

Out Of Control!!
How many
did you have before leaving the parking lot? That's some serious damage to your front lip; you're going to need an entirely new bumper assembly. Based on the force required to do that much damage, my guess is that you've lost at least a couple of the plastic bolts for the belly pan that is currently hanging down. Either immediately today assess the damage and get new parts, or remove the belly pan temporarily until you get the new parts. As is, it's going to keep hanging lower until it wedges itself free, and you don't want that.
Agree that it's probably the washer fluid, but you don't want that leaking all around expensive wiring. I wouldn't drive this car any more the way that it is without a full inspection of everything.

That looks like a nasty hit.. how much is your insurance deductible?
I keep my deductibles at $0 for comprehensive and $250 for collision for this reason.
