hello,this is mi first post here,I need some help, have a code po705,and also a code po243, they are probably not related,but I read that a possible spill on the gear shifter can produce the 705 code,car goes into limp mode,o doesn't want to start sometimes, I want to clean the electronic module,but cant find directions as how to take the shifter assembly out,please direct me to any post with pictures,thanks!!! and yes,I try to do a search,but nothing come out for a c230 coupe

First of all,... did you or did you not spill something on the gear shifter? Don't use this "possible" crap around here,... its possible we can help you,.... its more possible if your description is more accurate

Which electronic module are you thinking about cleaning? More descriptive,.... we're not mind readers,...

Assuming your car is automatic,... what's your mileage? Have you ever changed the transmission fluid? If so, how often? Pilot bushing adaptor?

SEARCH for stuff like pilot bushing adaptor or partial transmission change or Transmission Control Unit (TCU)

There is a lever-button under the coin holder to release your transmission locked in park,.... SEARCH for it. Its also in your owners manual.

well,I use "possible" because I buy the vehicle a week ago,I'm not a stalker,but somebody that uses this great place to learn about my vehicles and do my own work, I dint know that I will be "stalking!!!!!!!!!, now, the car is a c230 coupe, 140 k miles, symptoms are this: sometimes vehicle runs perfect, stop, try to start it again and nothing happens(no clicking sound o anything ,like starter is dead, I guess if the esm is bad the car doesn't know in what gear is and will not let the vehicle start) , after a while he will start ,but in limp mode,so I read that if this esm module goes bad is a possibility of this things happening,that's why I want to take the shifter unit out and clean it,thanks x your help
