Engine check

Hi,
just recently my c180 komp (auto) began to lose power at top end, i noticed the engine clinging on to the higher end of the rev range like 6000 rpm and wouldnt change gear until i took my foot off of the accelerator, i feel that if i didnt take my foot of that it would just continue onto 7000 rpm.
I could feel a slight pulse in the gas pedal like a rev limit kind of pinging or limp mode kinda feel.
On turning the ignition at the next start i got the check light, after reading codes i got fuel bank 1 trim lean, h02s heater control circuit bank 1 sensor 2.

I have changed both 02 sensors and both codes after resetting did not return though when taking the car for a quick spin i put my foot to the floor and had the same issues as before and once i came to idle after my 80mph blast it was groggy as hell and missing.

check light came back on and read misfire cylinder 1.
I have read about an issue with leaking cam sensors causing capillary action through the loom, at a glance i have noticed oil in the ecu connectors of which i have cleaned out with electrical contact cleaner, do you think that this has any thing to do with this.

After checking my old 02 sensors there was oil in both connections the maf sensor appears to not be affected............... any ideas?

Many thanks.

misfire might be the plugs. change your spark plugs if you havet and use the oem bosch ones. try doing the throttle reset also. but a misfire is usually do to the spark plug or the coil pack. but check your CPS and its magnets as well.

I have changed the plugs and the old ones all looked okay, what is a throttle reset? Also how can I prove cam sensors are working, I started the engine with them unplugged and got the message open circuit a and b cam sensors? Does this prove that they worked when plugged in?
