you cant park dude?

i wish they had that option where the mirrors tilt down down when you back up. why did they take that out???? every year they strip the car even more. i was pissed teleaid was an option

but anyway, you dont need parktronic on a compact sedan. it would be beneficial on the S

Tesla Model S
You CAN retrofit it - Jay (Class C) had this done on his 203 with parts that he got from Steve (MBenzNL). If you really, really want it, email him at s_krabbenborg@hotmail.com and he can give you all the info you need. :0)

W203
Hey I'm in Thailand and my W203 got parktronic (front&rear) and droping side mirror features. It comes with full options from factory because they sell it US$76,800 here. The car is f__king expensive here.

But my question, would be different. Why can't we get C240 or C320 here? They only sell C180 Kompressor and C200 Kompressor.

hmmm....

Yes, the right outside mirror button has to be depressed.

You know where you adjust the side mirrors from? There are two buttons, one for the right mirror and one for the left. In order for the tilt to work, you need to push the button for adjusting the left mirror.

On your power mirror switch, you have two buttons, one controls the left mirror and one controls the right mirror. Make sure the right mirror button is depressed.

Wrong for US (lhd cars). ...RIGHT (Passenger side) Mirror is the button that needs to be pushed.

Passenger side only. BTW, this should be discussed in the operator's manual. You do have the C1 option, don't you? this is a feature of the C1 option.

Its to help you get a better look at where the curb is as you are backing up. Helps in parallel parking as an example.

If it annoys you, just push the LEFT mirror adjust button and the feature is disabled.

Wink noblert..

why only the passenger side? b/c right side of the car has the blind spot, and on your side you can stick your head out and check the curb, and yeah, you have to press the right side adjusting button to make the tilt down mirror work.

still confuse?

into things
This is what I did:

1. Click the right mirror button
2. put the car in reverse
3. push down so the mirror goes down
4. Put the car back in D or P
5. Wait like 10 seconds and the mirror will go back up
6. Put it in reverse and the mirror will go back down again

Basically you must set the position of the mirror when youre reversing (it could be up or facing out etc)

I assume you found the discussion of exterior rear view mirrors in the manual. In my '01's manual it starts on page 89 and is in the OPERATION section.

Two points: 1) you must make the mirror adjustment setting "on" under the "convenience" settings on the mfd.
2) you must adjust the mirror to the desired "view" the first time before you store the setting.

I know its confusing as I write this, but if you find the right place in the manual, its much clearer.
