03 C320 sport sedan vs. 01 C320 sport

OK, I've been reading about the 03 c320 sport sedan - I have a 01 c320 sport. What's the difference - it seems like everybody thinks this is a new version of the c320 but isn't it very similar to the 01 c320 sport? Only differences I can see is the standard 6 speed manual(vs. automatic in 01) and standard 17 inch alloys(vs 16 inch in 01). Can anyone enlighten me on this one? TIA

I do believe you also got full leather instead of leather seating inserts. There most likely also is a suspension difference. Lets not forget the cost factor. Back then it cost ~$3000 for the package whereas now you specify either luxury or sport at the same price.

well, theoretically the 03 would be better off than an 01 because the first year run bugs would have been ironed out...

Is there truly a suspension difference between the two cars? Can anyone confirm this? Maybe I should take one out for a spin to confirm for myself...

2001 front : macpherson strut type

2003 front : 3-link
rear : 5-arm link (got it from mbusa website)

The so-called 3-link front end and MacPherson strut front end are the same thing. The first link is the strut at the top of the spring; the other two are the two ends of the A-arm. Same with the rear - since the 190, M-B has used a five-link design. I'm not sure why M-B implies there's a difference in design, because there is not.
