i dont know i didnt install them. I know they're slightly larger and they're vented and take a slightly larger pad so you'd experience less heat and fading...i can only compare my c230 to a c55 total system which is light years better.

Most OEM brakes on standard non amg w203s are single piston rears. AMG calipers from the c32/55 offer 2 piston rear calipers.
I believe there were some expections to this in 2004 when MB briefly equiped w203s with some amg brakes.

Actually the calipers on the rear of the C coupe are 2 piston.
The fronts are one.
AMG rears use a larger diameter rotor and it's ventilated vs. stock which is solid.
So you can get drilled rear rotors on the AMG's whereas with the regular ones you can only get
the slotted dimpled ones.

Someone had said the rears are 1 piston. Nope.
That's not what differentiates them.
It's the diameter and type of rotor (ventilated).
Drilling solid rotors is dangerous, and the dimpled ones just suck.
The holes rust and fill with brake dust.
I had wanted to get AMG rears so I could get drilled rears, but it's just not on my
list anymore. The car is done. Figuratively and literally.
193K miles, we'll see how much further she goes.
