i use Silverstar ultra and they are good; I think the new ones are better than previous years when they tended to last months. i've had the same bulbs since 2008. They will not give you HID brightness but I think it improves a little.

Before I did my conversion, I used Silverstar Ultra. They were great...for about six months and would go out. I'm not sure they were worth the extra price, even though I kept using them. I've heard from several other people that they go out much quicker, so thats something to consider.

Hey Phister, I saw on one of your posts that you have the Eagle Eye projectors. Is this still the case? If so, did you swap out the projectors or is the light output on the eagle eye projectors decent? I'm debating on getting a set of non-oem projectors with a set of HIDs but if I have to swap out the projectors to get a better light output with a straight line then I am not sure if I can do all that work I've seen a lot of DIY but I am not too confident that I could succesfully achieve such a task. I may just stick to getting a set of HIDs from the retrofit source...

the eagle eye have a decent output. I has a clear cut off but I wanted a more OEM straight cutoff. You wont be disappointed with the projectors that come on it. I just always trying to impove things so going with the FX-R projectors it gives one of the best cutoffs around. Replacing the projectors isnt that hard, if you want a good cutoff with the least amount of work, look for a set of E55 projectors, they are a direct fit into the eagle eye and depo projectors
