Where can I get a catalytic converter for an 05 C230?
Where can I get a catalytic converter for an 05 C230 besides dealership? I took my car to a muffler shop and apparently it is clogged .

the problem is that you (and i) live in california so its hard to find a carb compliant aftermarket cat. im not really sure how they enforce it anyway but ive been rocking non-carb compliant mods for a while and havent run into any trouble. if you wanna go cheap, check out magnaflow (the stuff you can find on amazon). if you wanna get fancy, check out hks, stillen, and brands like that. its just a cat though so it really doesnt matter.

OP, were you able to get an after market CAT for your 2005 C230 that was in compliance with California laws ?
I am now in need of the Catalytic and my local muffler shops can't get any after market CAT that would work for my car 2005 C230. they told me that the dealership is the only place to get one.
does anyone here have any suggestions or anyone from California that has found a way around this ? The dealer wants $900 for the upstram CAT , it comes with the manifold.
