Mysteriously Car wont start, Need expert advice.

Mysteriously Car wont start, Need expert advice.
Here is a new problem. Maybe someone can help me out. Last night My buddy and I put in a new alternator and a new spark plugs into the car.
After we had secured everything back. We started up the car. It turned over and made this flapping noise and popping sound. Like it was from inside the engine. I shut the engine off quickly. I pulled the spark plugs back out to inspect inside the combustion chamber. Nothing was found. I looked all over the engine bay for that noise. Nothing was found loose or missing. After putting everything back together. We decided to start the engine agian once more. This time. You can only hear the start kick on but the engine does not turn or jump. So we check everything. Fuel pressure is good. Spark plug is making spark. Starter is spinning. Cams is spinning. I can't get my engine to start now. I can't figure this out. Can anyone have a clue where I should start looking? I checked the fuses, they are all good also. When I turn the key all you can hear is the starter spinning and nothing turning over. But the belts do rotate around. It doesn't even shut off until you turn the key off. Battery is always reading 12.58v. Need help anyone have any idea?

No, its impossible to mix up plug wires on it. I found the problem. Timing Chain stretch, its out of timing. Needs new timing chain and tensioner and valves. This is a common problem with this car. So anyone who owns one , it is bound to happen soon once you pass 100k+ miles.
