Advice on reconnecting battery on W203
The backstory: 2002 C240 was infested with mice (11 nests). To remedy the situation I have completely removed all the interior including heater box-the car is down to the metal inside. Heater box has been rebuilt and reinstalled.
My question: If I reconnect the battery, the proper way (positive first then negative), and reconnect the ignition and the climate control and then start the car to make sure heater box is working properly will I put in jeopardy any of the computer systems? Or worse will the steering wheel airbag deply?
Before I put the car back together I would like to make sure climate control is working properly, stepper motors/arms are good, and no leaks at heater core.

Spoke to my local MB Dealer this morning. They recommended NOT starting the car when everything is disconnected. That would trigger codes in the computer systems.
Also found out that once I am finished putting the car back together I will have to bring the car in and have systems reset due to the battery being out for so long.

Thanks Tommy. The car only has 65000 miles on it and felt it was worth trying to save. The mice had good taste I guess 
One thing I should also put out there on the forum is that insurance (in my case) covers this kind of damage. It's under comprehensive coverage. So talk to your insurance company about it.
I got a check to cover the cost of repairs. And since I'm doing the work I saved the car from being a total loss. (I'll see if that was a good decision in about a week or two. haha)
