command

hi,

i have question about the verious different command system out there...

what's the difference between the US spec command
and the Euro command that steve is selling??

do they look different???

and how about the command that will be in the new 2004 c class?
are they gonna have better looking command?

because i always think mb got smaller screen the the BMW command

or are they coming out with the new design soon??

Most of the answeres you are looking for have already been adressed on other posts if you just search the forum you will find more info on this then you can shake a stick at. As far as the 04 comand, I have no clue, I don't think anyone does yet really, but then again I have not been paying much attention to the incoming 04 news.

This info is posted on my site www.mercedesmods.com The 04 c class will most probably be DVD based. there is a picture of it on my site also. Go to w203 mods and click on Comand Install for details on differences on Euro and US comands.

some slow@$$diesels
euro comand only has 1 M as in coMand instead of coMMand ...

Euro comands and US comands for the W203 are completely alike (optional) except for some very minor details.

* the row of buttons above the screen has abreviations on the US spec and icons on the euro spec comand
* the US comand has a blank button where the euro comand has a TV button
* US comand has weatherband
* euro comand has RDS
* FM frequencyhop is per 0.1MHz on a euro and 0.2MHz on a US spec comand
* AM range is slightly different (euro stops at 1800) and the frequencyhop differs as well (US versus euro)
* brititish versus US-english
* different available countrycodes for timezone settings

Both euro and US comand are able to support an additional MB TV tuner.

The screens are all alike - except for the Japanese spec DVDrom comands for the W203; they have a wider screen.
...the 04 comands are most probably going to be the exact same as the current comands...
