Sound from rear when let off the brake in R

Sound from rear when let off the brake in R
Got a popping noise that I can't isolate.
When I put the car in reverse and then let off the brake, I get one pop from the rear end. Sounds like it is coming from maybe somewhere around the driver rear CV joint. It only pops once, and it only does it when I am in reverse and let off the brake. I can tap the brake over and over, and every time it will pop once when letting off the brake.
Doesn't seem to be suspension related, but something in the drive or braking system.
Driving on the highway and everything in forward seems fine.
Any idea what it could be?

Hold on ... are you asking for medical advice about a noisy rear end ? None of us are proctologists.
