02 C230 Kompressor MAF Problem

My MAF is constantly getting contaminated with Oil. Anyone know where the oil is coming from? How do I fix it so that no more oil leaks into the MAF and causes any more problems? Is there a specific part I need to look at?

Please be specific and show pictures if possible.

Quite a few of us have this issue. First the good news. It really doesn't effect how the car runs if you clean the MAF every 20k miles or so.

You can minimize the amount of oil sucked up by lowering the oil level from the recommended 6 qts to 5.5.

It definitely affects the performance for me a lot. The car wont start right away. I have to turn the key several times for it to start. I fixed this issue last time by replacing the MAF with a new one. And again the problem is happening.

The car doesn't start right away when the MAF is contaminated with oil. So I am trying to just fix permanently to prevent oil from leaking. Is there a specific area the oil is leaking from I can look into?

It gets sucked up the intake from the oil pan through a tube and up the Air tubing on the passenger side of the engine. I have 232k miles on my car, but have only had to buy one MAF. Perhaps you have another issue?

Have you tried starting the car with the MAF unplugged?

Yes, unplugging the MAF allows the car to start without problems.

Two thoughts here.

Worse....there were some crap mafs put on the market some years ago. Absolute crap part, people bought them and had to pitch them within months of installation. I wish I knew of any identifying info on the Maf body I could share, but I would be guessing.

Don't know if I mentioned this, try cleaning the Maf with CRC MAF cleaner. Also inspect and clean the molex that plugs into the Maf body. You may have oil seeping into the molex and harness and it is screwing up your output signals.

i earnestly need bi-xenon headlamp for my C230 kompresssor coupe 2002 model , i need to upgrade the faded ones which is the regular type how do i get a bi xenon lamp
