Automatic lighting faulty?
Hi I have a little problem with the automatic headlights that are supposed to turn on at night. A while back my battery/alternator warning came on about 2 months after I replaced the alternator. The battery is also recent (2011). Furthermore, I checked the voltages during idle and 2000 rpm and they seemed to be fine.
However the day my car got its voltages checked, later that night I noticed the headlights were not on, but the tailights, parking lights and side markers were illuminated while the lighting knob was in the automatic position. I resetted the settings in the cluster to no avail. For now I have the headlights constantly on to get by.
I've searched the forum but could not find an identical problem. I'm thinking about a total reset by unplugging the battery to see if the computer will adjust? The alternator/battery warning still displays by the way.
