Air Intake Options for 01 C240
I've been doing some research online for a new intake for my humble C240 and I read that it's best to just keep the air box as is because of the "ram air" design, rather than going to an aftermarket style which would be hotter air than stock. Looking for some verification on this. Also, when asking a MB mechanic about K&N Filters for my particular car, he stated that it would cause some gluey build up in the car as compared to OEM filters from MB. Anyone gone through this yet?

some have had issues with k&n and others haven't. others use green filters with no issues either. I had k&n on before and nothing happened. it ran rich for a bit because I didnt fully tighten and press down the intake onto the maf so it thought it was running rich. after that nothing happened. but I have a different one now and works fine.
