EPC help please - need verisign trusted certificate - got it working!
So, I haven't been able to run EPC for some time now and I think I've traced it down to not having a trusted certificate needed by Java to launch the online application.
If someone running EPC could go to their Java control panel (control panel -> Java -> security tab -> advanced) and export the following certificate:
Daimler AG (VeriSign Class 3 Code Signing 2010 CA)
Then send it to me so I can import it into my Java control panel, I would greatly appreciate it. For some reason it's not automatically getting imported when I run EPC. I've tried everything over the past weekend, spent waaaaaaay too much time on it. Or, if someone can point me to the certificate on line somewhere where I can import it, that should work too.
The deal for me is that when I try to run EPC, I get a warning box stating "Failed to validate certificate. Application will not be executed." When I go into details it calls out not being able to validate the following certificate:
VeriSign Class 3 Code Signing 2010 CA (VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5)
If any of you computer saavy dudes know what is going on and can help me (i.e. if just getting ahold of this certificate and importing it won't work), I'd appreciate it.
Thanks a bunch!!!

Make sure you're running IE9. Run CC cleaner. Dump (uninstall) Java. Install the 32 bit version (x86) Java. Check that your browser permissions are set to default. Make sure your credit card has not expired. Visit EPC and sign up again.

Thanks Sunny - that's a pretty good site, but not quite EPC.
Thanks too Moviela. question: what's CC cleaner and how to I find/run it? I've uninstalled/re-installed Java about 50 times this past weekend. I'll have to double check my browser permissions. Credit card hs not expired - I can log in via the home page, but when I try to run EPC I get the errors above. Java was acting wierd and wouldn't let me delete old certificates, so I went and deleted that whole directory to try and start over, but still no go... I'll try this other stuff - thanks a bunch!!
Edit: I am running IE9, and just googled/found CC Cleaner. I'll try this stuff next chance I get (have to go out tonight) and get back to you. Thanks again!

I just tried it, seems to be working. I run it from Firefox, but then it opens IE.

Thanks C230 - I assumed the site was running OK and it's just something messed up with my PC, but good to know/verify the site is up and running.

Moviela - I followed the steps above in order, restarted after I uninstalled Java the re-installed 32-bit. I ran as administrator to install. Still no luck - get the same error about unable to run the application due to a certificate error. When I look at the details is shows needing the same certificate. If I go to the Java control panel I don't see that certificate. Permissions are set to default. My cc hasn't expired as I'm able to log in, just not able to launch EPC because of the certificate error.
One other thing I forgot to mention is taht when I install Java it says it installed OK (and if I check for installation it shows OK), butI did get an installation error: Wrapper.CreateFilefailed with error 5: Access denied.
Any other help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Tried to export it, got a file with no file extention, and the properties seem to show a bunch of personal data.
You sure you have admin privileges?

Didn't realize there would be personal data in the certificate - I assumed the certificate would be specific to the EPC site, not one's PC. Definitely don't want to ask for someone's personal info (probably wouldn't work if the certificate is set up that way either). I only have one account so am assuming it is an administrator account, I'll double check when I get home. Frustrating stuff, when it should be easy - Especially frustrating when I know I've used it on the same PC earlier in the year...

Yep, my account is an administrator account. I googled the "error: Wrapper.CreateFilefailed with error 5: Access denied" and came up with a solution of running as administrator, so I'm totally baffled...

Can someone who's running EPC go from their browser to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab, scroll down to the bottom and tell me which boxes are checked or unchecked for SSL & TLS?

See attached. SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0
I have an idea, create a new account in user manager, add the user to the administrators group, login under that account, and try it.
Sometimes profiles get corrupted.
Just curious, are you running some version of Symantec Internet Security?
It always bungs things up. Blocks random connections for no apparent reason and
is almost impossible to configure to allow stuff, simple stuff like classmates.com.
Surprisingly, I've done well with Microsoft's Security essentials.
Free and never expires.
Try the new profile 1st.

C230 - I truly appreciate all the help! I only had TLS 1.0 checked, so tried adding SSL 3.0, but still no go... I'll try the new profile too and post results.
No symantec that I'm aware of (programs & features in control panel). I avoid Symantec like the plague too, as it just seems to mess things up and slow things down. Been using Security Essentials for a long time too.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks again man, I'll try the new profile.

Tried the new profile and still no go.
I'm running Internet Explorer 9 and Java 7, is that what you're using? I used a friend's laptop with Internet Explorer 8 and Java 6 and was able to log on. He let me export the certificate I thought I needed, I imported it and was still unable to start EPC. Short of going back to IE8 and Java 6, I have no idea what to try now...

Uninstalled Java 7 and reinstalled Java 6 - that seems to have done the trick! Still got the wrapper.createfile error after I installed Java 6, but when I tried to run EPC it started right up! Finally... Still running IE9. Hopefully this saves people's time/trouble down the road.

Running Windows 10 PRO
Version 1511
64 Bit
Trying to use Explorer 11.63 and trying Chrome 48.0.25
I am having block and trust issues, of which I have never seen before. My new(er) PC that I am trying to use does not yet have JAVA...was hoping to install once getting into EPC. Do I need to install JAVA first - or IS THERE a trust certificate/issue with EPC (my set up)?
I do not want to continue because both browsers have issued me a warning...Note in images attached...
I also see WORLD price has gone up from $12 to $75...
Any info would be helpful.

Just went through this past few days...couldn't get into epc from two separate laptops. Turns out the java updated and the latest version is not compatible. I had to uninstall java altogether, then install java 7 update 45 and all is bueno....java 7u25 also works.
