Upgrading 35w hid to 55w hid
Hello guys,
Currently I'm using 35w aftermarket hid kit and I programmed to be xenon to present.
My question is if I'm trying to upgrade to 55w hid kit what will happen? Do I need to adjust the setting on the computer or can I just switched it directly or should I just get a set of error canceler.
I'm upgrading to 55w as I'm using depo projector headlight and using 35w on this depo is pretty ****ty if you are often driving at night time, but I love the look anyway and cost less compare to oem one.

Okay, I will try to get set of 55w bulbs and ballast, any recommendation where should I get those kit since I got bad experience with ddm tuning.
Actually, I was thinking of doing the retrofit long time ago but never implemented it. I saw your retrofit cut off picture on the other threads. Looking great! Did you done it by yourself?

yup dont by myself... the E55 projectors are a straight swap out with the depos. I get all my retrofit stuff from theretrofitsource.com hands down best retrofit place to go. a little pricey buy top quality and warranty on parts.

35 vs 55 watt bulbs are the same. the critical power consumption component
is the ballast, not the bulb. if someone is selling a bulb with the label 55 watt,
they're doing a little creative spin on you or coloring it to make it appear that
it's brighter.
a 55 watt kit is simply using the ballast to overdrive the 35 watt bulb
