no start problem! help please
So my 06 c230 died on the freeway. Realized there was no fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Turned out my fuel pump was bad( verified by connecting it to a battery). I ended up replacing the pump, filter, and sending unit (broke the stupid plastic nozzle). Filled the car with gas and started it up and it ran great. 5 minutes later it sputtered and died. I started it and it ran for 10 seconds and sputtered out again. Now it just cranks but wont start. I have pressure to the fuel rail and i can hear the pump working. I removed a spark plug from a cylinder and cranked it but it seems like my injectors arent firing because i dont smell any gas or see any puffs of fuel coming out of the cylinder. All i know is the injectors are controlled by the ecu. Any ideas how to check if the injectors are firing or what might cause the injectors to not fire?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

Does the cps only control signal for spark or does it control signal fuel as well? I cant imagine that failing coincidently 5 minutes after fixing the car but ill check it.

Yes i checked it with a test light and jumper wire and confirmed the relay is working. Its not a problem with fuel pump power. The fuel pump is running and fuel is getting to the fuel rail. I have yet to check the fuel pressure at the rail. My problem is the fuel isnt going from the fuel rail into the injectors into the cylinder.

Well guess I'm going to answer my own question. Yes the cps affects fuel injector timing. My problem ended up being a faulty replacement pump. It was only putting out 10psi. Got an OEM pump and the car is back to running great.
