Hi, i have a C230 Kompressor Sportcoupe 2002, i had the automatic gearbox rebuild, and now is in limp home mode, makes a big clunk when put into park or D, and doesn't pass 2gear, i took it to a guy that has the mercedes computer and Xentry DAS software to reset error codes, the car worked for a few moments, then again wouldnt pass 2 gear, the error code said oil level too low, then he erased those errors, and the car shifted smoothly again, then again went limp home mode and got stuck in 2gear, and the error said, among other stuff, a bad EGS/ETC/the control module for the gearbox.
A).I dont have a dipstick to measure the oil level at the moment, the place where i had the gearbox rebuild, as far as i know they put 9 liters of atf in the gearbox, including in the torque converter, as i have read some ppl get more than 11, i told him but he refused. Is this too low and would that put the car in Limp home mode? How many liters must have?
B). Or is it most likely the Control module for the gearbox that needs to be changed?
Im sorry for the bad english and for posting about a topic that i know is very discussed; i have read too many posts, and sometimes i get confused about specific reasons that may cause a LHM.
Thank you kindly.
