PLEASE name a car so reliable that you'd never need a loaner. IT DOESN'T EXIST! Therefore his statement makes no sense. Even the most reliable brand, Lexus, requires loaners during it's average 1.63 problems a year.
The reality is if you bought a more reliable car to begin with you wouldn't need a loaner.
