SIRIUS RADIO on COMAND units?
Anyone go to the C-Spot events and see SIRIUS hooked up to the Comand on a W203? I went to the DC EVENT and all the models had SIRIUS hooked up to them. Anyone have this option on their car yet?
I'm getting a COMAND installed by Steve this month, but I want SIRIUS installed too! Please let me know if anyone knows anything.
Thanks!

SIRIUS AVAILABILITY
1-Sirius will not be available until the Fall of this year, therefore my guess is that Steve's Command units are not "Sirius ready" yet.
2-Of course, you may just install sirius aftermarket and hook it up to the command's AUX in port. However, you obviously wont be able to see the information on the command screen. (In my case, I prefer XM over Sirius so there is no point in waiting as MB only will offer Sirius). My XM is connected through the AUX-IN through cassette tape modification posted originally by Cryonic(spel?)
3-Your other choice is to wait until the Fall/2003 to see if the Sirius-ready factory units can be retrofitted to your car, or better, whether MB will produce retrofit kits.
Good luck.

If they do they will be very expensive. Some car manufacturers have been charging $600-800 for the Sirius or XM tuner add on to the factory radio. For example, the discount Honda parts place I buy from for our Honda charges just shy of $600 for the XM add on component and it doesn't look that great. BMW is charging over $800 for their Sirius add on. That made my mind up for now to just take the SIrius free tuner offer and set it up through the FM mod as I have my XM. Don't get XM, it's not that good and they have a lot of commercials and it's growing. With an annual subscrition, Sirius comes out to only 6 cents a day more, worth the zero commecial channels.
