[DIY] Oil Cooler replacement procedure for W203 M112 engine

I had a MY 2001 C320 leaking engine oil quite heavily. The power plant is M112.946 engine.

The engine oil filter housing is leaking, and the oil cooler itself is also leaking too, so I am considering to replace the oil cooler as well as replacing all gaskets associated with both oil cooler and oil filter housing.

I can only find the procedure for replacing the gasket for oil filter housing, but no procedure to replace the oil cooler. It appears to me that no one encountered the oil cooler leaking before. How to disconnect and reconnect the coolant pipe with the oil cooler properly?

By the way, my local MB parts supplier sold me the Behr OEM oil cooler at around $70. Don't hesitate to replace it.

The hose connection is circled in red. The location of oil cooler leaking is also indicated. Thanks!

Here's the photo of the oil cooler at my C320.

I'll have to look it up on my shop manual dvd but I'll try and get it on here later
