Battery/Alternator warning
I've had the same warning Battery/Alternator message twice now, 5 months apart, totally different circumstances.
First time was in August, warm day, no headlights on.
Second time was 2 days ago, cold, night time, headlights on.
In both cases there was no change in performance, no additional warnings, no trouble starting, warning goes away after re-start. Battery is original (2003).
The only commonalities: I was using cell phone with charger plugged into lighter both times and warning came on after about 2 hours highway driving. Have duplicated those circumstances at least 10 - 15 times with no problems. Comments?

Wow , what a battery life . Ten years is phenominal .
From posting on this site ,these cars seem very sensitive to a failing battery .
I would invest in a new battery with the same amp/hours capacity.Your local battery shop or auto electrician should be able to do battery load & a alternator output tests. AGM ...Absorbed Glass Mat batteries are recommended for these cars.
