Door light not working.

I've been trying to find any posts on here with a similar problem, but it seems like people are calling it 3 or 4 different names. Door light, step light, courtesy light, or puddle lights. Basically the small light on the bottom of the door. I'm trying to replace mine. Driver's side was a breeze, but the passenger side I can't seem to get on. I've tried multiple bulbs that i know for sure work and tried changing fuses. I guess the next step is to take the door panel off. Just wanted to see if anyone had any other tips on something to check before I do that. thanks guys

you should be able to get a small flat head and theres a tab notch you can put it into and pop the light out. from there you can pull the whole bulb and connector out. if its leds make sure your have it plugged in the right way or it wont light up

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I did a bad job of explaining it. But I can get to the bulb fine. I've changed them many times before. Ive pulled out the whole connector, it's just not working at all. I've changed the fuse as well. I thought it might be the connector after reading your reply, but just put another one on. Still nothing. Even tried a single led and got nothing. It just doesnt seem to have any power going to it.

I had similar problem as well with my rear driver side door.
Are you able to lock the door with the remote and is the window functioning properly?
If so, then you're right, the fuses are good. If that is the case, you will have a tough time getting to the wires since there is some type of adhesive cover behind the door panel. Try connecting one of those little things that detect if something is producing electricity(i forgot what it is called) You can buy one at harbor fright tools or ace hardware for $5-10 bucks.

Good luck mate!

Voltmeter... Also if you have to remove the panel check to make sure there's no crimped wires
