C7 Question
I have read on this forum that the C7 option includes a slightly different exhaust arrangement from the cat back. How do you know this and why doesn't MB advertise this info? Also includes short throw shifting? Do these mods significantly improve performance?

renncpe, who works for Brumos mercedes in Jacksonville, originally posted the info about the exhaust. The C7 cars do not have a resonator. I had a non-C7 car for 77 days befor taking delivery of the car with C7. I noticed immediately that the C7 car was slightly louder. The way I know there is no resonator, is I looked under the car.
The C7 does include a shorter shifter, which has a much better feel than the standard shifter. While mu first car was an automatic, I did drive a non-C7 6 speed demo for about and hour. When I got the C7 car, the difference was no just noticable like the exhaust, but more like a night and day difference. You can get the part number for the short throw shifter from renncpe, if you decide not to go with the C7 , but still want the shifter installed later.
