blacked out lights in rear
is there such a thing for the w203? i've seen people use sprays or maybe even tint the rear lights with black film, are there covers that can just go on in the rear?

just my opinion but.....I think headlight/tailight covers went out of style in about '95 Besides it looked ghetto then and I think it would look ghetto now......
PS you're not looking for a neon license plate frame too, are you?:p

I was told turn around time would be one day, I told them I wasn't in a rush and it took over 1 month...I ended up buying a second set of tails to have tinted because I didn't want to be without the use of the car. It would take 2-3 days shipping each way plus the one day they need them...thats over 1 week. They charged me around $140 to smoke them...I think they wanted $170 a side for new tails, smoked.
Nobody can believe that they smoked them from the outside, thats how perfect they came out. I am sending them 2 more lights to get smoked next week.

Out Of Control!!
Alex - smoked lamps' phone number is (866) SMOKED1 (thanks, Erik!). Their website is down, but not out.
They're located in CA, btw; price is $140 (for ccoupe) if you provide the tails.

Erik, I swapped the tails tonight. Wasn't too bad. The upper outside nut on the driver's side is a b1tch to get to. I'm gonna have to get a torx so that I can take out the plastic box that the first aid purse (for lack of a better word) goes into - you can't get to the nut too well without removing it.
So, the shipment's going out tomorrow; will email you the details afterwards. Thanks for the loaners!

Smoking the rear tail light housings is EASY. I paid $24.95 for a small spray can at a ricer shop. The Coupe housings has 4 nuts that come off easily. I cleaned the red area with isopropol alcohol, taped off the top clear area with the blue tape from Home Depot.
Did several layers of spray until the can was used up. Then let dry in a room with a Ionic Breeze to keep dust and cat hairs off the fresh spray. Of course doing it inside can incure the rath of the old lady
Attached is a photo of the housing after smoking.

I was kidding for the $70.
If interested, I'll let you know where to buy the paint, it cost around $15. and ask a profesional bodyshop to paint it for you. I smoked mine and it looks perfect. My bodyshop paint it for free, so I only pay for the paint.
