well since u have the m111 your in luck
kleeman pulley kit works good. u can get long tube exhaust headers
but your going to need to tune after fitting the pulley on

There are several pullies; Kleemann, Renntech, and ASP. As far as I know, only the ASP is available at this time. Plenty of threads on these, so I won't regurgitate the info here.
As usual, Sammy is half correct. You don't "need" a tune for the most part, though I did see someone had a fuel issue once theirs was on. I had my Renntech pulley on my car for years without a tune. The tune really helped, but it wasn't necessary to enjoy the additional ponies from just the pulley.
Performance mods I'd suggest, in order of bang for the buck:
S/C pulley
Tune
Less restrictive cat
Less restrictive intake box filter (questionable)
Other than that, I've got headers and an exhaust, neither of which amounted to too much. People had initially discussed using a different differential in the car, but that's an expensive proposition. It would then switch over to weight savings, better rubber, lighter rims, thicker sways, and so forth.

Has anyone ever tried putting the m271 pulley on the m111? I believe the m271 is running almost twice as much boost as the m111 so wouldn't that help?
or are the supercharger different?

I was looking at the pulley kits and the price you pay for two pulleys and a belt is shocking
Would be cheaper getting them all made

£600-800 in uk. Shocking. Must be able to get alloy pulleys made and belt made to size. Might ask the vw boys with g60 engines

Cheaper in the US, I guess since its an American company. Look into machining down your stock pulley. Should give you the same results since I'm pretty sure that's what ASP does since they give you money for.your stock pulley

I have no idea why you'd want to even try to do it yourself. The ASP price is very reasonable for the peace of mind of knowing that you're not going to f*ck up your supercharger the first time you run it after the change.

lol making a pulley isn't something you want to try in your garage. ASP pullies are OEM units with the OEM harmonic balancer which is better than any solid aftermarket pulley. ASP price is very reasonable.
M271 and M111 pulleys aren't interchangable

I think they saw that scene in Ghost, and think that turning a pulley on a lathe would be as easy as throwing pottery was for Demi Moore.

I never said anything about doing this in my backyard, I was just stating another option instead of ASP. Taking the stock supercharger pulley to a shop that knows how to machine it down wouldn't be such a bad idea. Wouldn't have any gauranteed results but its simple physics and if someone is not willing to pay for the ASP pulley for whatever reason this is another option. Maybe not a better one, but definitely is possible

The pulley on the M45 in the M111 is already as small as it can physically be.

The M111 is running low boost. If its already as small as it can be then what is the difference between the ASP and the stock pulley? How does it 'up' the boost if it can't be any smaller?

If you want more boost, you have to spin the SC faster. You can do this either by using a larger crank pulley or a smaller SC pulley. Due to the design of the nose on the M45, you can't make the SC pulley smaller. You can only make the crank pulley bigger. This is what ASP, KLEEMAN, etc does

ASP, renntech kleemann and Carlsson pulleys replace the crank pulley with a larger pulley. The larger crank pulley drives all the other pulleys faster creating the extra boost. From what I have read the S/C pulley is pressed on. If you want to remove it you probably need to pull out the S/C unit. I have seen smaller s/c pulleys made for the m271 but have never seen or heard of one actually running one or had it installed. Much easier going the the crank pulley route.
