DIY Stepper Motor replacement/fix
I've been searching these forums/internet and haven't found a DIY for a novice with Mercedes to fix the stepper motor. I found some posts, but the pictures are all broken.
I noticed a common trend in all the posts that a bad stepper motor tends to make clicking noises when the key is in the start position, and mine does these clicking noises for about a minute or so and when the A/C turns on, air does not blow (even though I do hear the A/C being on).
How would I go about fixing this?

Play with vents selection on HVAC,.. you'll find it's likely the plastic foot vent lever that broken. Mercedes-Benz part# A203-830-00-33 and cost about $20 at your local Mercedes Benz Dealership. Replace BOTH left & right side,... you don't want to have to take the dash apart again! BTW, good time to change radio or carbon wrap console or something that requires taking dash apart,....
Lots of photos on page 2 & 3 of that thread,....
