Break-In Period - Time & RPM?
Andrew
Some members of this board will tell you that new cars no longer require break-in. Ask the factory rep what to do when you pick up the car.
Edit for additional info. Do not do any foot to the floor acceleration. Some sources state that after 200 miles one should gently accelerate from 2000 rpm to near red line. this should be done once every 100 or 200 miles.
I was taught to never use engine braking during break-in. the sources I was just reviewing on the net have nothing to say about it. I would recommend doing so gently.

I would say don't go above 3500 - 4000 rpms and 100 mph. I'm not sure how fun Nurburgring will be in this case, but in either case you'll have to look in your mirror and be ready to get to the right. Also, don't go too hard on your new brakes.
Have fun,
Justin
if you do go over to Mercadesland, will you please share your experiances and take pictures. I was going to take that route, but that old work thang got in the way.
Happy travels.
